FAQ
What is Gatus?
Gatus is an open-source status dashboard. You configure the websites, APIs, or services it should check, and Gatus shows whether they look healthy. The project is available on GitHub: TwiN/gatus.
What does GatusPocket do?
GatusPocket shows the status from your own Gatus server in a native iPhone app. Gatus does the checks; GatusPocket gives you a calmer mobile view.
Do I need an existing Gatus setup?
Yes. You need one HTTPS-reachable Gatus setup. GatusPocket does not monitor websites by itself and does not replace Gatus.
Which authentication methods are supported?
GatusPocket supports Basic auth and bearer-token sign-in for the Gatus status API.
Does GatusPocket edit my Gatus configuration?
No. The app is read-only. It reads service status, stores the latest successful response locally, and lets you manage app-local preferences such as pinned services and troubleshooting links.
Does it work offline?
It is not offline monitoring. If the network or server is temporarily unavailable, GatusPocket can show the last successfully stored status. The Home Screen widget uses the latest snapshot written by the app.
Do I need anything besides my Gatus server credentials?
No. You use your own Gatus server credentials. They stay on your device.
Is GatusPocket a subscription?
No recurring app subscription is planned. GatusPocket is intended as a low-cost one-time App Store purchase. You still provide and run your own Gatus setup.
